Skradin is a town and port on the right bank of the Krka river, 16-odd km north of Sibenik with 726 inhabitans.
Chief occupations include farming, viniculture, vegetable growing and tourism.
Upstream, not far from Skradin, a bridge spans over the Krka. Skradin lies on the regional road.
 
It has Skradin ACI Marina.Skradin, the headquarters of Krka National Park, is one of the oldest Croatian settlements with
the status of a town (2nd c. BC).
 
Situated not far from the world phenomenon Skradinski Buk, where the Krka river flows with tranquillity, it represents the
centre of life from the early ancient times.
The contemporary, organized tourism started to develop only in the 1960s.
The well-maintained public beach, good-quality accommodation, famous specialities (risotto, seafood) and wines (Debit,
Plavina), a model mari-cultural farm and the marina make Skradin a destination of many tourists, particularly nature
enthusiasts and lovers of natural phenomena.
 
As the headquarters of Krka National Park, Skradin is the starting point for ships transporting the visitors.
 
Skradin ACI Marina disposes of 220 berths in the sea.
